Landfill leachate is known as the "king of wastewater"! It has extremely high concentrations of pollutants and is toxic, containing all sorts of miscellaneous components, and its water quality fluctuates constantly, making treatment incredibly difficult. Fortunately, Wuxi Jingbo Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., a professional environmental equipment manufacturer based in China, has developed a specialized Landfill Leachate Treatment Equipment system, making this problem a non-issue. As a trusted supplier with its own standardized factory, we ensure the system’s stability and high efficiency from R&D to production. The core of the system is a three-step process: first, laying the foundation with physical and chemical methods; then, further decomposition using biological methods; and finally, ensuring compliance with membrane technology. Each step is highly reliable.
Let's talk about the first step of the Landfill Leachate Treatment Equipment: pretreatment. Leachate has alarmingly high ammonia nitrogen content, often reaching several thousand mg/L. This is where the stripping tower comes in. By adding alkali, the pH of the water is adjusted to between 10 and 11, converting the ammonia nitrogen into ammonia gas, which is then removed by blowing air through the system. This step significantly reduces the ammonia nitrogen content. Additionally, there are some difficult-to-decompose toxic organic substances. Here, "helpful tools" like Fenton reactors and ozone generators are used. They generate highly oxidative substances that break down these stubborn organic compounds into smaller molecules, making subsequent treatment much easier.
Next is the core biological treatment. The water is first introduced into anaerobic Landfill Leachate Treatment Equipment, such as UASB and IC reactors, where microorganisms break down large organic molecules into smaller ones, also producing biogas, which can be used for power generation or heating, saving considerable energy. Then, a two-stage A/O-MBR process is used, alternating between anaerobic and aerobic environments, allowing microorganisms to remove both nitrogen and carbon. Simultaneously, ultrafiltration membranes replace the traditional large sedimentation tanks. This prevents sludge loss and bulking, resulting in a high concentration of microorganisms in the tank, leading to high treatment efficiency and significant space savings.
Finally, there is the advanced treatment and concentrate treatment. Using nanofiltration and reverse osmosis membranes, 70% to 80% of the water can be purified, suitable for purposes such as flushing factory roads, watering plants, and as cooling water for machinery. The remaining 20% to 30% of the concentrated liquid is a big problem, but there are ways to deal with it – using methods like evaporation and drying to evaporate the water for reuse. The remaining solid residue can either be sent to a landfill or treated according to hazardous waste standards, essentially achieving "zero emissions," which is very convenient.

Product Advantages
This Landfill Leachate Treatment Equipment has many other convenient features: the key components are made of corrosion-resistant materials, so even highly corrosive leachate won't damage it; the entire process is meticulously designed, ensuring every step is covered; it doesn't require constant monitoring by personnel, as it has an automatic monitoring and control system that handles tasks such as chemical dosing, sludge discharge, and aeration, saving manpower and reducing errors; it also occupies a small footprint, making it easy to install in landfills or incineration plants. Furthermore, it can recover water and energy, reduce pollution, benefit the surrounding environment, and help companies address pollution concerns from neighboring communities. The benefits to both the environment and society are significant!
